Does xbox live support try to be useless?

I added 1600 ms points to my account 2 weeks ago and I cannot use them to purchase anything on xbox live.  So far supports response is that they have no idea and I will have to wait till Friday at the earliest to get the issue resolved.  Friday is best case scenario.  I may have to wait 2 more weeks.  When I tell support I am not happy having already spent the money and then having to wait a month to use my points they ask if there is anything else or if that's all.  When the new systems launch I am not buying the xbox.  Why would I spend money when I get nothing for it and Microsoft could care less.  At least I work at a store that sells video games and I can from now on make sure everyone knows to buy a Playstation instead.

Theers has been no announcement of a new xbox console launching. That may be a wait as well. Playstation has horrible security. Microsoft can't do anything at the moment, it's why you are having to wait. You're not the only one in this boat Reagan.

There will a new xbox.  Probably by Christmas.Maybe the beginning of  next year.

Nugs is correct. Call support again and get the issue escalated to Tier 3, for an investigation (which should only take about 2-3 days to recieve a response from them). And everything on the new console is still up in the air.

Hey Reagan Beans! I'm sorry to hear the frustration here. It sounds like you've got a account issue on your hands that only billing agents would be able to assist with so you've taken the right steps in contacting phone support. They should get back to you shortly and hopefully have a resolution. Definitely keep us posted on what happens! We'll be here for ya. :)

This is hilarious.  I called MS again and they fixed my problem, with a catch.  I have to wait 30 days to redeem my points.  But, because of the inconvienance they are going to give me some MS points.  Sounds nice until they tell me I'll have to call back in 30 min. in order to get them.  I call back and they have no idea what I am talking about.  Now I'm on hold waiting for a supervisor to tell me how they are gonna screw me now.

I also want to iterate again, there has been NO announcement about a new xbox console, period. Everything is mere internet rumor at this point.

There is something wrong with you, because there is no reason to harp on the new xbox. When I mentioned it was merely stating that wnen the new one comes out(which everyone assumes there will be a new one) i will not buy it.  Regardless of whether there is a new xbox or not I will tell everyone to buy playstation instead.

The fix was to change my xbox e-mail. I talked to the supervisor and he tells me there is no record of my phone call with support from earlier today.  So no MS points for me.  I told him I was fine not getting points as long as I could make purchases today. He tells me I have to wait till probably Friday to get my account unblocked. I asked why it was blocked and he has no idea. I asked why I wasn't notified that a block was put on my account and he tells me that I should have been e-mailed but he has no idea why I wasn't.
