DirecTV picture quality is low

Using the HDMI pass through, the 1080 resolution is probably cut in half. Mildly blurry and jaggy. (The DTV logo when you pause it is hard to read, for example) What was a crystal clear picture is now blurry and and has obvious jagged, razzed up pixels. I swapped cables, and altered resolutions on the DTV settings menu. Surprisingly, when the receiver says, 'If you can see the message, your TV supports this resolution. Press the INFO key to confirm', THAT text is the crystal clear quality I'm used to seeing. Once I hit info, or let it go away on it's own, it immediately returns to low rez.

Everything else works as advertised.

I think I fixed it. Under resolutions (in the DTV TV resolution preferences), choose both 720s and 1080s (i & p). Turn both the TV and the DTV receiver off, reboot and it was clear as a bell. I originally had just 1080p chosen.

I'm a happy camper.
