Did not receive the Live I payed for

Around 3 or 4 months ago, my Xbox Live ran out. I had forgotten that it was set to auto-renew, and the card on my account had expired. I reverted to Silver membership because I didn't have the funds to pay at the time. I called customer support later and I was told that If I payed off the charge on the expired card I would receive the 12 months of Live that I had been charged for, but that still hasn't happened. I'm not sure where to go from here, because this site seems to try to prevent you from contacting someone who can actually resolve your problem.
