Dead Games

The industry of the original games just lost a big buyer . After some time collecting my games working hard to pay sometimes up to U.S. $ 100, 00 in a launch, come to a sad day in my journey . arranging my games and exchanging some cases cracked noticed that one of my games " Forza 4 " appeared this black spot inside the game has 2 discs and both appear in the same spot . Heartbroken to have lost a game I went to the overhaul of my 110 games media and to compound my sadness 7 of them were having the same problem , including new games like Halo 4 and GTA 5 , both played constantly. I have in my head that eh problem companies' own materials using low cost and questionable quality in the production of medias , say this because I have some games like COD 2 and 3 and both are 100 % same old GTA 5 and that did not even I bought six months already gone to TRASH . Now where is my willingness to pay for an original game is that it can give propblemas before pirates are occurring in media ? I have a folder of recorded DVDs that has years to open , I checked and all are 100 % , ie , an inexpensive media in a humid place without any protection lasted for more than one I paid U.S. $ 100, 00  and did not last even 1 year.

I'm honestly confused here, you chipped your discs and are upset at Microsoft?  All DVDs regardless of manufacturer are just a thin sheet of metal coated in plastic.  They are all incredibly easy to damage.  Take better care of your property and this wouldn't happen.

I do not know what criteria you are considering to say no take good care of my games, they are well maintained, have games 2005 well maintained and in good working order, now a game with less than 6 months, a problem that appears, is not to be quiet. Are not you working to pay for my games, so it's easy to come here and say something you do not know. If quality is poor I have every right to complain. If you do not want to help, not hinder.

That looks 100% like the games were not stored safely. Almost looks like they got wet or possibly too hot somewhere. None of my discs have ever done anything like that. I keep them all in the cases on my game shelf. Seeing as how you said it has happened to several of your games. I would quickly figure out what you are doing wrong in storing your games.

Thanks for coherent response. Heating problem is relative because I live in Brazil, here is hot just about everywhere, as a precaution I changed the place of storage to try to decrease the plague. What puzzles me is that I have games with more than 3 years in the same place and none of them had this problem since GTA 5, as you can see in the picture, was only a few months in the same place and already has the problem, the only thing that comes to mind is of dubious quality material.

Judging from the image, I would say it is not the heat but the humidity.  On top of moving your games to a cooler place (if possible), perhaps storing them somewhere that allows for some circulation of the air. Perhaps if they are packed too tightly humidity cannot escape, leading to the damage?

I replaced all the games of place, I noticed that in most of them have small dots of stains, I fear losing more games. If so I will have to immediately get rid of all games are collectors, I do not play often.

Seal all over again, would solve anything?

I have the same problem.

Since both games and video games are seldom used, and the games are all stored in the same place and inside their original boxes, I can only attribute to the quality of the media the defect presented.

For those who are older and lived through the age of domestic recordings on CD and DVD, where there were various media brands available, it was easy to see in the low quality media the oxidation process that happened after a few months, usually on the edges of the disc.
