Can't purchase microsoft points

I have the Gold Family pack thing, and when I log on the the primary account and try to purchase microsoft points for my account (the one thats not the primary that I want the dlc on), it gives me an error that says "This action cannot be performed at this time. Please try again later. For more information, go to http://www.xbox.com/support." I've gone to the support page to look for a solution but I cant find anything. I've been trying to find a solution for hours. Please help.
