can't play 60hz games

for some reason i am no longer able to play games that run at 60hz, namely hitman blood money. When i 1st got my xbox it ran fine but now i keep getting an error message telling me to change settings whenever i attempt to play. I've altered every setting possible, changed from hdmi to component, taken it to game shops and have even had it replaced as the store suspected it to a faulty but my new one won't play it either. (i have the xbox slim elite) Any help would be appreciated, thanks (Gamertag - massive tempah)

Have you tried your console on a different TV, to see if the issue occurs there as well? Alternatively, have you tried a friend's console on your TV with that same game?

yep. i took it to gamestation where they tested it on there screens, tried the game on my friends console and his says the same, get the disc cleaned then replaced but still get the same error message. i actually had my xbox replaced as they Thought that might be the problem but it wasn't. I've read i need a non hd scart lead to set it to 60hz then put my hd back in but i can't find one anywhere and really don't want to buy something that won't fix it. I already spent 15 on a component thinkin that would fix it

u will need the old cable - (yellow white red) and plug them in then go 2 the system settings and then display and if u look u should see a tab 2 change from 50hz - 60hz. and then once u have done that u can chage cable and u should beable 2 play hitman again.
