Can't Save Grand Theft Auto IV

So I bought GTA IV a while ago (the PC disc version, from Target) and after I got all the installing done the game started fine. And by installing I do mean that it is also fully installed and shows up in the Games for Windows Marketplace, however when I start the game it asks me to sign in to save the game, but when I sign in it says that I have an invalid product key. After filling out the product key in the initial phases of installing the game, that field is already filled out for me so I verified that the key entered in the game is the same as the one in the box. I don't know what's going on but I really would like to start being able to save the game because it's kinda pointless if I have to start from scratch every time I play.

It doesn't sound like an xbox issue, I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help you here. You might want to try rockstar support though: support.rockstargames.com/home
