Can't get into any matches on Black Ops 2 unless I join a friend's session or am with a friend?

So today, whenever I try to join a match, it sits, trying to find one for ages, searching for players, analysing all matches, then starts again, will not find one. Yet if I join someones session on my friends list or join their party, i can get in straight away. What gives? I've tried everything with my router, I've cleared cache several times, configured my network, reset it all and re connected to it... nothing!! My search preferences are on any and my NAT is open!

Hey there DreamR!

I'm wondering, have you tried having a friend join your session then you queue for a match? If you haven't, give that a try. This will give us a hint as to whether the issue may lie with you queueing on your own or with you queueing in general.

The even stranger thing is, if i am the party leader, i can get me and my friend into a match, then when he backed out, it kept me in the match. Then, when that match had finished, i backed out, then tried to join one on my own, and no luck. Its now a couple of days later and i tried it this morning, and i STILL cant get into a match. It just sits at "searching for players" Its driving me mad. It means if i want to play COD i need someone to hold my hand through it and i cant understand why?

Friends cant join me while i'm queueing either. Its tells them they cant join the session... Its bizarre. can download speed have anything to do with it? I know during an actual game it requires next to nothing, but to get into a lobby, does it have a minimum?

also, i was using a wireless connection, but i switched to wired this morning as it was giving out slightly better speed, still nothing! Our download speed has dropped terribly the last couple of days  so i thought for a minute it might be that...

I've got the same problem on only one machine in the house. The rest of the machines work fine with my profile.
