Can't download games and demos..

I was having trouble signing in to xbox live since ive switched to atts uverse internet but after a lengthy call with tech support I was able to get my router settings correct and it now signs in flawlessly.  new problem has arose though...anytime i go to download a demo or game it just sits on the loading animation and never trys to actually trys to download it...I have opened up the ports listed by xbox and still no luck...help please?

Here are a few things you can try:

1. clear your cache and restart your console. Instructions here: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/settings-and-initial-setup/clear-system-cache/

 

2. Clearing the Marketplace System cache (not just console cache as I mentioned above):

  1. On your console, go to Settings, and then select System.
  2. Select Storage, and then select your primary storage device.
  3. Select System Items.
  4. Select Marketplace System Data.
  5. Select Delete.
  6. Restart your console.

 

3. Delete and redownload your profile. See here: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/settings-and-initial-setup/profile-move-delete. When you delete it make sure to select "Delete Profile Only" for the final steps. If this does not work, please try the other 2 steps in again just in case.
