Can't change channel

Hello,

I set everything up, and Xbox One is working great!  Unfortunately it cannot change channels.  I tried using my iPhone to see IFR, but the light shines too bright, I cant even see the 3 IFR that I can already see with the naked eye.

1.  its the additional IFR signal only made for channel changes?  IE - Can I test if it will work on another task?

2. I have an xfinity X-1 box.

3. I tried looking at my remote settings, and no where does it say #1, or #2... I have 2 cable boxes in the house, but both have their own remotes.

What else could I try to address this?

Amazing Product otherwise.

Thank you.

I'm having the same problem, OneGuide won't change the channels on my set-top box. I have Uverse and my set-top box is a Motorola VIP2250. According to the auto scan and to the finder here http://www.ueisupport.com/ my remote code is C0858. Still doesn't work. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Zwil, THANKS!

Also in Pa, also with the same Pace and cable provider. After quite a few Internet searches regarding remote codes, etc. This worked instantly!

Studbucket you are absolutely correct.  I figured it out last night, but I want to still highlight your answer as correct. (adding box manually)

A couple of things went into play here.  My IFR was working just fine, but while I was on the settings screen for  OneGuide I could not see a "you need to restart your box pop up message" from my cable box, and that is something that the amazing Xbox One of course warns you against.

I then just added the box manually from the settings menu > OneGuide.

You will see 3 icons for your TV, Cable Box, and Audio System.  Just click on the Cable box one (or clear it) and manually add it.

I want to thank all of you who commented here, this community is amazing.  I figured this out at 4am this morning thanks to the multiple posts, and the level of camaraderie is fantastic.  +1 for for maturity.

I am in PA.  Service Electric Cable.  Pace TDC787x.  Xbox chose a remote code of C1877.  I found Pace remote codes and changed it to C1376.  It all works now.  use this link.  it is where i found my remote code.

Hey Rui,

For the Comcast X1, how did you set it up? Did you go through device detection? It should say you have a Comcast (or Xfinity) box and you're using C1982 as the IR codeset.

If detection doesn't seem to be working, you can manually enter the model number as Comcast X1.

Did you figure anything further out?

I am having a similar issue.  My Kinnect controls my Sharp TV and Pioneer Receiver but not my Cable box, which is a Pace.  I have set up an IR blaster directly to the IR port on the cable box and it still does not change the channel.

I suspect that the IR code being sent to the box is not correct.
