Can't buy game.

So, im having a hard time buying a game. I have linked my paypal to my account so i can buy it since I have $50.50 in my xbox account. When I try to buy it, I get the error, 80190848.Please help me. Im trying to buy NHL 14.

Could I ask that you check the billing information on the account? That's the first step for that particular error code.

Log in at https://commerce.microsoft.com and verify (and update if necessary) the information there. Particularly the address should be looked at, and your account region and physical locations should match. If not that will throw up errors.

Also verify that the information on that site matches https://account.live.com

Could you get in touch with Phone Support and have them check your account for you? Specifically whether a financial risk-block has been placed on the account. This would prevent purchases, can be applied automatically for a variety of reason the system deems as possibly fraudulent, and would not be visible to you except when trying to make further purchases.

This is the first ever like game that i have bought on xbox live games on demand. I have always paid for map packs and add  ons and never had this error.

That could be enough for the system to trigger the risk-block, it's hard to know. Phone Support should be able to tell you.

Hi could be region issue:

Both your region and location must be the same to access certain content and validate downloads or play restricted games etc.

If your location and region are not the same you can amend by following these steps: support.xbox.com/.../change-region

Please note disc based games must be compatible with your consoles region.

Alternatively could be a risk lock:

I could not buy anything online or on console event though all methods valid and enough funds etc.

t turns out the issue relates to a risk block where by if you buy numerous items in a short time scale or have  suddenly bought something after a long break then the system automatically lock your account to prevent fraud.

To remove the lock please contact support as above and explain the issue.

Be aware it took 5 days for a resolution so please be patient.
