Can't access anything related to Xbox account

First off, I hope I'm posting in the right place.

I upgraded to Windows 10 recently from 7, and naturally wanted to use most of Microsoft's services, so I signed in with my Microsoft account that I hadn't used for a few years. One of the big things I was looking forward to using was the new Screen Recorder/GameDVR built into the Xbox app, so I went and opened the app up, clicked sign in, got the following error:

"We couldn't sign you in to Xbox Live.

There's a problem with your account. To fix it, go to Xbox.com and sign in."

It also says the error code is0x40b.

So I go to Xbox.com and sign in with my Microsoft account. I then click on my account icon in the upper right, and click Profile in the drop down menu, which brings me to a page with the following error:

Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.
It appears you've found a glitch in the system. Please try again later.

I get a vary similar error no matter what I try at access (Friends, Messages, Xbox settings, etc.). I'm really at a loss as to what I should do. Thanks for any help.

Hey GeneralBrody8!  May I ask what version of the app you currently have?  It sounds like you may have an outdated version and need to update.

Sure, its version "9.9.28033.00000". I'm pretty sure that's not it though, since I can't access my account details in my browser either.
