Battlefield 4 stuck on burning carrier load screen

I havent had any problems with battlefield 4 since launch, and today i tried to play and its stuck on the loading screen with the burning carrier in the background. I have tried rebooting, holding the power button and restarting the system, cleaning the disc.. I also tried disconnecting from my network and playing the game, and while it got me past the burning carrier screen, it "could not connect to EA's servers" when i re-connected to the network. also, other apps are connecting to the internet perfectly with no problems. What could this be? Do i need to shell out another $50 for a new disc?? Will that even work? Halp meh

Same problem, been fine until tonight and now I can get no further than the burning carrier. Seems like the problem is probably not with us but EA. Looks like it will have to be Titanfall tonight and try again tomorrow

Yeah its getting old. NEVER had any problems except the launch bugs and even those you were able to get around if you did stuff just right.

I started experiencing the exact same issue at about 2:00 PM (Eastern).  I thought it was my Xbox One at first, so I power cycled it, unplugged the power adapter, ect.  Then I uninstalled it, reinstalled it.  After that didn't work I started troubleshooting the network.  I made sure to open every possible port and validated that I had 'NAT Type Open'.  I've been trying to describe the screen in various Bing/Google searches.  A lot come up as 'Load Screen' issues, but none fit the bill until I searched "Battlefield 4 stuck on burning carrier screen"

Try This.

1.  If using WiFi, disable it

2.  Turn Off Xbox One (standby or otherwise)

3.  If using Ethernet cable, unplug the Ethernet cable

4.  Power Xbox One back on

5.  Start Game

6.  Get to 'Burning Ship' screen, followed by warning about not being connected.

7.  Reconnect Ethernet cable or WiFi

8.  Report back your results.
