Batman Arkham Asylum bought from the marketplace not working

Hello everybody, So I got Batman Arkham Asylum game from the marketplace. Everything seemed fine at first. They took my money, the download for the game started and everything was fine. I left my Xbox overnight to download and the next day I turned it on an dchecked the Active Downloads section it was empty. The game didn't appear under My Games list though. I went to the game's page on the marketplace and it said Play Now. I clicked that and it draged me to the games list which didn't have the game. I then checked my Storage and saw the game there, but it was corrupted. After looking around the internet I saw other people having this issue, too and that it's because the region they have set on the profile didn't match their actual place. I live in Lithuania (Europe) and it's not supported by XBL, so I'm my account region is set to UK. I previously downloaded AC2 and Skyrim from the marketplace and it was fine, so what's the problem here? My Xbox is PAL region and every PAL game works flawlessly. So how can I solve this problem? I'm currently redownloading the game and I will post my results.

Have you tried these steps here to try and fix the issue: Delete any corrupted or incomplete game data, deleted the Marketplace System Data, clear the System Cache,  restart the system, and finally re-download from Purchase History.  forums.xbox.com/.../492850.aspx

Thank you very much for the answer, I will try it tomorrow as soon as I can. Another thing I should mention: When I tried to buy the game it didn't allow me because of my location (I'm assuming it was the ultimate game sale that was on March 4th that was unavailable at my location, not the game itself. Can anyne confirm?), so I asked my friend from UK to do it. Everything was OK and as soon as he bought the game the download started on my Xbox. I thought this might have some impact on my problem as well.

OK, it's morning here and I checked my Xbox. Again the game is corrupted. Once I get back from school I'm going to try doing it your way.

Still corrupted. I guess I'll have to contact Microsoft Support and see if they can help, if not I demand a refund.

Windiermite1, your problem is due to regional restrictions. 

 

As you noted, when you tried to purchase the game in Lithuania, you were not able to do so. Unfortunately, where licenses are concerned, Microsoft has to do what the publisher says. And if it is not licensed to sale you the game it cannot do so.

 

When your account was used in the UK to purchase the game the sale went through because Microsoft is licensed to sale the game in the UK. Unfortunately, now that you're trying to download the game in Lithuania the same restriction applies.

 

The only way you will be able to download the game is if you do so in a supported country where Microsoft is licensed to sale Arkham Asylum.
