I personally don't think it's anything like Torchlight as it's not a full on dungeon crawler, but does have the hack n slash element to it. It has a Zelda (link to the past) feel about it, but again, it's nothing like Zelda. I think what I'm trying to
say is, the game has a pretty unique feel about it.
Quite difficult in parts too and you can also choose to make areas more difficult if you wish to, which will give you greater rewards. For this very reason I'm getting owned as enemies hit hard and can swamp you in seconds if hang around.
Huh? Did someone say something similar to Zelda? I must check into this
i said it had something Zelda (SNES) about it. i wouldn't go buying it on the assumption that you're going to get a zelda: a link to the past like game, you're not, as i merely stated it had something about it that reminded me of that particular game. There
are huge differences such as Zelda being set in an open world, whereas this isn't and i haven't met any npcs that i can interact with other than the guy you meet from the outset. That's not to say there aren't more, i just haven't met them yet.
it's like a few rpgs mashed into one, with no particular one sticking out.
It's a beautiful game with a nice narrative. Great art design. The game's challenge has me stepping up my skills. I would advise anyone that enjoys action rpgs to give this one a shot.
As a side note I can't believe that this title kicks off the XBLA Summer Arcade event and doesn't have a forum of its own. The people in charge of the "new and improved" Xbox forums need to get it in gear.
