Any word on a Fall Dashboard update beta?

The last few beta's including the Kinect hardware beta I've gotten an email for the new beta's well ahead of the update. Now that it's September I haven't even seen any mention of any type of beta even though it's going to be a major update to the dashboard, going to a Windows 7 phone look. I've been checking Major Nelson, the Connect website and various gaming websites I haven't seen any mention of it since Spring. If anyone knows of any info I would apprectiate it since normal Fall updates have shown up in November. Thanks in advance.

Keep an eye on Major Nelson's blog for future updates.

I was in the Kinect beta as well, and received the Kinect hardware at the beginning of September last year, yet I have not seen anything about this years preview in Major Nelson's blog, on the Connect website, or via email.

Well as I said just keep an eye on it. Once he announces the upcoming beta or if you get a email then you're in.

I wish they would just hurry up and do the cool dashboard update, im getting bored of the current one lolz.

Major Nelson is currently planning a preview program for it. You can refer to his Google+ post here.

Is a beta really necessary for xbox? They have been so productive for them all the previous times.

With just about every dashboard update there has been bugs or issues.  Without betas and people willing to test them early there would be more issues reported at the launch of a new dashboards.  I am for betas and releasing a more polished dashboard then using the entire community as a testing ground.  Just my 2 cents anways.

Seeing as it went so well for the forums I am not keeping my hopes up for the dashboard.

Changes to your physical console are a lot different then then a website that is not your personal property.  Just saying.  If people are willing to test with their consoles and try new features early to make the upgrade safer for others, then have at it.
