Any guesses as to what sort of co-op DLC is coming?

I love this mode.  I hate to support EA and their microtransactions, but have to admit, I'll line up to buy anything new for coop.  What kinds of things are you hoping for?  Maps?  Weapons?  I would also like to see some more class variations in the form of special characters.  I've really enjoyed trying some of the unlockables, like the Asari Vanguard and Quarian Engineer.

I'm with ya there Back Lot Basher, bring it on!  There were unconfirmed images leaked which are buried somewhere in this messy pile of threads showing a Batarian (Soldier I believe), a Geth Infiltrator, an Asari Justicar (would've prefered an Ardat Yakshi myself), and a Krogan Battlemaster as new character/classes, that's one character pack I'd stay up late to download as soon as it were available.  Not sure how it would work though, do you pay mspoints for a "chance" to unlock these characters?...:-)

I'm only guessing, but it seems logical that they would bundle it with new maps.  Buying the pack would give you the "chance" to unlock them as well.  I also wouldn't mind seeing the new maps come with variations on the challenges.  Not just the regular "disable the device" or hacking.  Something fresh.

My very imaginative son asked me yesterday if we'll eventually be able to play as the enemies, of course I laughed but afterwards, I thought that'd be kinda cool, I'd definitely pick the "Marauder Class" and regurgitate plasma to revive my fallen Cannibals...:-)

Ha ha...nice....I just think this mode has so much potential, and if Bioware continues to support it with more offerings, it could have a long life.  I couldn't understand all the criticism it was getting in the first week or so.  Made me wonder if the critics were even playing the same thing, because I was enjoying the crap out of it.

Anything as popular as MASS Effect is going to have the naysayers no matter how good it is, the reality of the matter is this game has shipped MILLIONS of units and the silent majority hasn't gone out of their way to publicly voice their displeasure at all, if you cross-reference the amount of copies sold to the amount of "40,000 signed on to Re-Take MASS Effect" or whatever the number was, probably dwindling by the hour, that "movement" isn't as significant as it's presented.  There's considerably more gamers playing the multiplayer this weekend than the number of extremists trying to play the role of Casey Hudson.  Yes, I believe that "a long life" is more than conceivable for there's "so much potential", like you said...:-)

Lol.  Are you going to seduce the enemies to death?

How about a "classic" map pack?  I think that'd be cool.  The multiplayer has all ME3 missions as maps, but no real classics.  Purgatory or maybe the casino from the original mass effect?  The citadel council chamber?  The hot labs, where you fought Matriarch Benezia?

And maybe, throw a random thresher maw in the mix.  lol.  I'm really missing how cool they were in the first one.  lol

Yes, Classic Maps would be grand, love to see the place where you first land The Mako on IIos with the multi-levels be one of them, if you haven't killed Samara and recruited Morinth in the second game AcadiaPaul (I had great difficulty making this choice too), you should try it, Morinth has an exclusive power called 'Dominate' with bone-chilling dialogue as she uses it, it'd make an excellent class, fight the Banshees with their own medicine...:-)

Hmm, I do have a renegade Shep sitting at the beginning of Mass Effect 2, and I have wondered about Morinth as a crewmember...
