Another poor E3 for the Xbox gamer.

Dear Microsoft,

I wasn't expecting much, but I was hoping for more than that. I cant get excited about Kinect as I have no desire to wave my arms around, I prefer a bit more control and depth to my games.

So what did we get?

A Halo remake and Halo 4.

And that is all.

No other new exclusives announced.

Does anyone else feel let down? The 360 was THE console for the hardcore gamer at the start of this gen...

Now its a kinect machine.

look on the bright side, we've got 2 more FPS on the horizon.  they'll go nicely with the other 61,498 FPS that are already available.

Pretty good E3 this year.

I agree. Quite a few games to get excited about.

I really questioned some of the Kinect titles...

Disneyland? Sesame Street?

Titles aimed for children are incredibly hard to make as children are easily displeased.

I'm curious to see how they bring those titles in although I myself have zero interest in them.

.

ADDED:
Oh hey, my sig got removed... that's not very nice.

I though the ancient Rome kinect title (Ryse I think) looked pretty good.

LOL... Agreed.

It's really the fault of today's gamers. They continue to buy (and praise) all of these cookie-cutter titles that continually get tossed at us. Take any FPS, add one new weapon or change the location and everybody acts like it's actually a different game. They run out and buy it in droves, while the developers laugh hysterically to the bank, because they've just made a ton of money by being as uncreative & doing as little work as they could possible get away with. All the while, gamers who aren't as easily entertained as Bobo, that playful chimp at the zoo, suffer in a literal wasteland of FPS after FPS after FPS after...

personally i dont feel let down at all. there are plenty of games i will want to buy this year.

I've seen none. E3 2011 has been about as exciting as watching grass grow (with even less surprises). Though I will pick up Uncharted 3 to round out my collection.

The coolest thing I've seen so far is the Playstation branded TV from Sony, that allows two different players to see two different images at the same time (eliminating split screen and the need for players to stay close to one another).
