And now for something completely different

I haven't taken a character past about lvl 35ish - and I've had dooooooooooooooozens. I got about 5 now saved between lvl 20-30 odd. Why? I start becoming uber about then (even on Master) and my enthusiasm wanes a little and I yearn for those haaaaaaard times early game when death was around every bend in the road.

Sooooooo, my latest character - NO PERKS!. NONE, NIL, NADA, SPLAT, SPLAT, SPLAT - all the way I hope to (finally) lvl 50 and beyond.

So far only at lvl 10 and loooooving it. Really mixing up the gameplay as I'm not specialising in anything so from loadout to loadout I can be alternating between Heavy Armour, Two-Handed, Light Armour, Archery, Swords & Board, sometimes pure magic, sometimes I just go out pick-pocketing.

Gonna do the main quest until I get that very special shout at the top of the mountain and grab as many other Shouts as I can, do all the Daedric quests I can, grab as many Dragon Priest Masks I can and try to just stick to Miscelaneous Quests where I can and leave all the rest until I hopefully hit lvl 81 with a completely Perk Free character.

Hoping by the time DLC comes out I'll have a character I can then do multiple saves with and perk or not perk as I wish whatever way I wish and take them on different adventures down different roads. Of course the catch is I can't be specific in leveling Health, Stamina and Magic as I don't know which one I'll end up using the most so I'm just spreading it evenly and the multiple lvl 81 (hopefully) characters will have to live with it.

Something for those to try who've done just about everything else.

Kick your Perks!

After this, you should try to do a pure Melee character, Master, start to finish : )

So should you. And I bet I got further than you ever did too.

So hostile. Sad, since I actually wasn't being hostile or sarcastic in the slightest.

.

Oh well.

No shouts? How about adding no oversmithing?

Nice Monty Python reference.

You should know that you can't say anything now without it being taken as hostility or sarcasm. lol

Yeah I know you're just trying to help right?... again. Why don't you try this seeing as you've done everything else. You might like it, seriously (yes, I am serious). And I'd be interested in what sort of armour you come up with in the first half hour of the game this time around with no perks.

Best I could do (currently lvl 12) is a full Fine Forsworn set inc weapons as I run across that big Foresworn camp near the Blades hideout on me way to the Lover Stone and sent them all insane with Fury from range. Heavy armour I just got a mongrel set of Fine iron and steel with a steel battle-axe.

But you'll do better.

Every shout I can get without doing any of the major side-quests. And over-smithing will be left to the (hopefully) lvl 81 character(s) as and if they need it. In the meantime I'll be the bloke hammering out iron daggers by the dozens.

Oh, I know, I know. I'm well aware of it. It helps me make friends ; )

.

(Not really, of course, but believe me, I know).

Full Steel Plate and possibly a little Dwarven, along with a Blade's Katana.

I have a pure melee Khajiit and it's all about the cat scratch fever.  I love clawing enemies to death.  So far he is level 48 and not used a single weapon or spell, lol.
