250GB HDD MSRP Discrepency

According to xbox.com, the 250GB HDD for the slim Xbox 360 has a price of $99.99.  See here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/Xbox360/Accessories/HardDrives/250GBHDD

However, nearly every retailer (including the Microsoft Store) sells the drive for $129.99.

So, what's the deal?  Did the price just drop and not yet go into effect?  Has the price gone up and the website isn't yet updated?  Is it just a typo?

Can anyone shed some light on this?  Even at $99 the drive is a ripoff, but at least buying the no-hard-drive $200 xbox plus the drive is no more expensive than the $300 model.  I really don't want to have to spend an extra $30 to get a matte finish on the console. . .

It depends on the region some places has specials

Remember msrp is manufacturers suggested retail  price

It doesn't mean there can't be any markup Or dollar values

depending on your region msrp can vary

The xbox.com msrp is us only

Amazon.com tends to have sales  for 99 dollars however make sure you buy from trusted dealers like gamestop or amazon not 3rd party amazon dealers
