Greetings, everyone! Can you please try initiating the transaction one more time to see if it goes through? If not, let's have you each log on to https://billing.microsoft.com and double check that your payment methods are configured according to this sticky: forums.xbox.com/.../153161.aspx. Oscula Asinum and KitsuneW0lf, if you are still unable to make the purchase I'd like to ask you each to create a new thread detailing out your specific issue, the error codes you are seeing, and the troubleshooting steps you have tried thus far. Thanks in advance!

LiddleMissXb, since this seems to be a billing issue, I'm going to move this thread over to 06 - Purchasing or downloading something. That way you will receive the best support possible for the specific issue.

:"There is a problem with your account, please visit account.live.com" and "Can not retrieve information from Xbox Live" are two different errors and can be two different problems. I don't suggest saying "Same problem, status code XXXXXXXX" as it isn't the same problem.

Security is a fickle thing. This could be triggered for any number of reasons logically. I'm completely unaware if this is going to be the case for everything, but I can forsee a few steps to take in case this is the problem.

Start with changing your secret question on the account. If it's something easily guessable or found on your Facebook page, an attacker can get into your account with it (see http://www.xbox.com/security for ideas how to secure it even further).

Once that's completed, make sure you have confirmed your email address on the account (visit http://account.live.com to do, mid way down you'll find Security Info, click Manage to the left of it.)

I'd go as far as to add a cell phone, but this isn't required I assume.

Once all that is done, change your password to something secure. Choose something with at least 3 of the following four (Microsoft may have different suggestions, or even requirements, but this works for most websites/services.)

*Lowercase letters

*Uppercase letter

*Number

*Symbols (!, @, #, etc)

*Make sure it doesn't look like anything in the dictionary in any part.

Give that a shot, if that fails to work, then there is something on the windows live ID side that's blocking things. If you've added a cell phone, try http://sms.live.com, if you don't want to or can't, go through http://www.windowslivehelp.com for the error "Your account has been temporarily blocked." to post a question on Microsoft Answers for WLID (Windows Live ID) support. And, if all else fails, contact Xbox support detailing your saga, and they may have an escalation procedure to have someone look at the account.
