Your console can't connect to Xbox Live-80151901

Xbox connection was working just fine a few days ago then I updated to Windows 81 and now I'm getting the error message that my console cannot connect to Xbox Live (tried it with my PS3 as well and nothing on that console either). Tested the Xbox Live connection, got a red X between the Xbox and Network. Underneath the IP Address Error it says to unplug router for 30 seconds then plug it in and wait 30 seconds and Can't obtain IP address from router or modem. Had my landlady unplug her router then plug it back in. Nothing. Next step was the router or modem may be assigning an IP address. Tried to reset factory settings, clear cache and delete my profile. Still no connection. Uninstalled and re-installed the Ethernet driver on my computer. Nothing. I connect through my laptop to the console and the router is not mine as I am a tenant using it with permission. Need some help please. Thank you.
