XBOX360S Wont connect to wireless network with WPA2 security key enbled

I have a belkin Surf N300 router and i know how to setup wireless networks.

I can connect to my wireless network if i disable my network key (which i prefer not to do). But when i enable it, and enter it in on the XBOX display, it doesnt work (although the key is correct).

It seems that the XBOX360S is incompatible with modern wireless networks? - Very annoying. My ps3 connected with ease....

Just to let you know that the 360S is not incompatible with WPA2 wireless encryption as that is what I have both my old white and new S connected with.  There has to be a problem within your router if you are not able to connect.

WPA2 / WPA (the Belkin router has a profile with both or just WPA2 which ive tried) and it uses AEK encryption. Laptops, ps3 and computers connect to router with ease. also if i turn off the password protection and make the network unsecured then the XBOX is able to connect to it.

That is very strange robertweber7777 as I did say earlier that mine are connected with this protection enabled.  Please post your model number so people here can help you.

Im robertweber7777.

I use AES encryption as there is only the one option (i.e. i cant select TKIP) for Surf model Belkin Routers. Looks like ill have to upgrade the router, although I am going to try again now that the XBOX has downloaded a bunch of updates.

Ill provide the xbox and router model when i can (not home now)

AES is the better option anyway. If you have the same router but can't get it to work, maybe you are using different firmware
