Xbox wont connect online

i'm really starting to get annoyed about this! randomly at least twice a month my xbox just wont connect to live. it will go to the internet but not to live. then randomly after restarting my modem and retesting with failed results, i will end up doing this over and over again about 20 times, it will just connect.

the error status report will say something like this

W: 0000-000B

X: 0000-F001

Y: 30A8-4840

Z:0000-0000

ID FFFF-FFFF

L: 8015-190E

Q: 8007-0435

T: Wired

after looking at the last three it looks like my ip address and what not so not posting that .

i would really like to know whats going on and how to fix it cause its really annoying when i only have a small amount of personal gaming time and it does this.

This is also happening to me!   It has happened twice this week.  The first time I was able to reset the xbox to factory settings.  But this time that is not fixing the problem.   I think the new version of live is messing up the older xboxs.....  I want to know what will microsoft do to fix this issue!!!!

It's happening to me also, but I have one of the new 360s models.  I also noticed my IP address is messed up when this happens.

it may be a good idea to post the IP address it gives during the error as in many cases the IP address can be the key to finding the problem.

By this I mean if the address is 192.xxx.xxx.xxx then we can validate that this is coming from your router, if however, it is 169.xxx.xxx.xxx then we can identify it is a IP problem/conflict

Hey guys, please don't post your IP address in this public forum. Unbound, I'm very sorry to hear about the disconnects, but I think that in order to understand what's going on, we're going to need to troubleshoot the issue while it's occurring. You said that when you run the connection test, it looks 'something like' the test above. Next time this occurs, can you please post what is shown exactly?
