Xbox WEP Security

I just installed a new router.  All other computers and printers in my home required the WEP KEY.  However the xbox which is hardwired from the router to the xbox DID NOT require the key.  I feel like the xbox being is an unsecure backdoor.

Should it of ask for a WEP key??????????????//

Wep keys are used to secure a wireless network from outside connections, they are not used when you actually connect something to your router via cable.  Don't worry if you were to connect wirelessly it woud demand your key, there is no built in backdoor system with the xbox or MS would be sued to hell and back.

^ As above. Also WEP isn't very secure I'd recommend using WPA2 or WPA for wireless security
