Is the power supply laying on a carpet or other soft furnishing? If so move to to somewhere else. Also check the power supply for any fluff/dust build up in the vents, try giving it a quick vacuuming to suck any fluff/dust out of it.

Broccoli, tiny trees of green goodness.

There might be a fault within the power brick, there might be something blocking the vents on it. or you could try going to

hope this helps.

I'm having this same issue, except mines not brand new and my brick isn't unnecessarily hot or sitting on the floor.
