XBOX SLIM SOUNDS LIKE A JET

my xbox 360 slm is less than 8 months old and it sounds like a jet takin off, its getting that loud i have to turn the tv up.

do i send it in for a repair so is it normaly that loud

are you sure its the console not the brick,listen close to the power brick as there is fans in there and they can get noisy.if so get another power brick

As robenko said it could possibly be the power brick. If it isn't I would recommend sending it in for a quick repair.  I have the slim as well and have only twice in the months I've had it heard what I call the 'beast mode'. I think it's safe to say that it only happens if you block the vents, it is an extremely hot day or the a false temperature reading is given which may be your cause.

yes the console has more than enuf room,  but the power block isnt.

The Power Adapter is not in a location with adequate airflow? Can you move it to an open location?

It depends on a number of factors, but most important is allowing adequate airflow around the console. Do you have it on a hard, flat surface with several inches of space all around it?

im sure its the console, i thought this xbox was ment to be quieter than the elite. looks like ill have to send it in
