Xbox Slim Internal WiFi Not Working, Asking for Wireless Adaptor

Hey guys, I have a black Xbox Slim console, and when I tried to connect to wireless this morning, the console is asking me to connect to a wireless adaptor. I know the console has wifi built in because I've used it for a year without any problem and internal wifi is on all newer consoles, but all of a sudden it doesn't seem to be working. I called Microsoft, and they couldn't help - told me to reset settings, restart my modem, etc. Nothing worked, and now they want me to fork up a hundred to send it in.

Has anyone ever had this problem and found a fix? If the wifi chip inside is busted, I guess there is no easy fix, but just seeing if there is anything I can try. Thanks!
