XBOX prepaid code redeeming

I redeemed a code for a 3 month membership to XBOX Live. My profile on says I am a gold member, but when i get on my xbox, it still says im on free membership. because of that, i cant join parties or play online or anything.

what do I do? Xbox support is not helping

Sometimes there can be a delay in updating your account with your new status.  This can usually be resolved by running an Xbox LIVE connection test.


To do this, press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings. Select Network Settings, select Wired Network or your wireless network name (if you are prompted to do so), and then select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.
