xbox one stopped working

I was playing it just fine then shut off. the light on the power box works when plugged in but once i plug it into my console it shuts off. Any solutions??

Hi there sorry to hear you are experiencing some problems. You should try this:

Make sure you've been through this: support.xbox.com/.../console-wont-power-on

and this: support.xbox.com/.../tv-or-monitor-screen-is-blank-while-connected

Then try:

   making sure the console is off

   then unplug the power

   unplug Kinect sensor

   then with the sensor still unplugged try plugging back in the power and booting it back up

   then plug in Kinect once it's on

Try leaving the console unplugged for a full ten minutes.

the light on the power supply is orange and i read that means it doesnt give enough power to the console?? if thats the case how do i get a new one??

i ended up getting a new console sent to me and sending the old one that doesnt work back to them. i had a game that was stuck in my console. will i get it back or would you know??

You should try checking with the repair people and making sure they are aware and can return the disc. Unfortunately with a disc slot instead of a drive it is pretty hard to pry it open.

leave the plug in your xbox. however, unlug the line leading into your power brick itself. make sure you unplug from the outlet too.

wait a couple of minutes.

plug back into outlet then plug other end into the brick itself. should light up after that and your xbox might turn on then
