Xbox ONE Sound?

Hi guys. I have tried for MONTHS to find a direct answer to this problem of mine.

I currently play my games on a monitor. Video is hooked up to the HDMI port. My monitor has no speakers, and no sound port for a jack. I receive sound from my component cables and speakers being plugged into a splitter that I bought separately.

Since there's no component cables for the Xbox One, how will I be able to receive sound? Do we know if the USB ports will output sound through USB compatible speakers? Any help or ideas will be appreciated!

Go get your self an HD TV and your all your worries will gooo away....

Played on a HD TV, monitors are far far better (my opinion obviously).

Thanks Spiral. That eases my worries for a bit. Hopefully it's out before launch and hopefully it comes out in Australia haha.

I think it is supposed to come out at launch or before.

What is confusing to me is why its not made by MS but whatever works.

The Xbox One does have an optical audio out jack built in. You could just pick up a sweet little 5.1 powered speaker setup with optical audio in for under a 100 bucks, or just pick up one of these converters:www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_2

That one includes an optical cable with it!

Speaker setup doesn't sound like a bad idea. I didn't think of that to be honest, I'll have a look into it. Thanks for the idea mate. Yeah I agree spiral, it's pretty odd. But if it works then it won't bother me who brings it out.

What would 2.1 speaker system sound like? www.ebay.com.au/.../141046966613

Um, like stereo... Duh.
