Xbox One says I'm too young or dont have correct permissions to access online features

Hi

From the start i'm 47, I've had a Gold Live account since the original xbox and now after playing Battlefield 4 for 3 days on my new Xbox One it says I cant play multiplayer as a connection code come sup saying 'You are too young or don't have the correct permission to access online features'

Please help. I have checked every page on the settings of the Xbox One, plus logged into laptop Xbox website and done the same and no where is it saying I'm restricted, yet the Xbox One won't budge and still says I'm too young.

Running wireless set-up through Plusnet and as I said had 3 days of game play and now this tonight.

It is checking your birthday on your Xbox Live account to verify your age. Check your birthday on the XBox Live website under Account Management to verify it is correct. If you account is not the primary account on a family plan then the primary has you set as a child.

Change that I was thinking of something else. Check the parental controls. They are in setting of the XBox 360, not sure about the XBox One. You will not be able to change them if you are not the primary account on the Family Plan.

Yeah check the parental control lock on your console. Because that be the first thing to look at. And you might be heck by some scam site that take your profile.  And they pretend to be you. So I was you I would check those two thing before you push the panic button.  So I hope this helps.

I an having the same issue, similar circumstances and i have checked my privacy settings but i can get into them casue the console cant connect to live.

probably you had a or were in a family pack and had not promoted account on xbox 360

RichardLeonhart might be right. And you must get the person who made it left it from your profile if that the case. And it not. Then what I have said still stands.

No family pack here, it stopped last night and was working today bu started doing it again a few hours ago.

Same problem here. Checked all my privacy settings, nothing blocked online. Can't get to battlelog, can't play online, can't get to Premium via the button, but oddly was able to use the "store" button and it gave me the option to purchase it.

I have purchased DLC with my account in the past with no problems.

My son is getting the same error after getting Battlefield 4 this morning.  He plays all ratings of games without any problems and now this game is giving this error.  I have done everything you all have as well and can't seem to get it to stop.  I am currently waiting on xbox chat to ask how to fix the problem.  Started at a 50 min. wait and now down to 23 min.  Hopefully they can help.
