Xbox ONE media device that can't play 3d blue ray as advertised? JOKE

It is completely outrageous that Xbox advertised there new console as the ONE, media device to replace other existing devices. Especially when advertised to play 3D. I myself ordered many 3d films a new 3d tv only to learn none of it works. Can Xbox please reply to this to hopefully resolve the issue

It was publicized that 3D support would not be available at launch.  I am hoping for a patch to fix soon.  My shiny new PS4 cant either.... good thing I kept my PS3 :D

Actually Microsoft confirmed before launch that Xbox One won't support 3D Blu-ray playback at launch. And there is no confirmed plans that microsoft will add this function.

And I totally understand them. 3D has been dead over year or even more now. EVEN 3D biggest supporter SONY recognizes today that 3D is dead. Most of the statistics confirms today that customers are not interested about 3D options. Cinemas are also confirmed that people prefer 2D. And 3D screenings are deserted.

I do in fact- its still dead.  3D isn't selling well.  I have a new Samsung LED 7100 series.  I surely didn't buy it for its 3D capabilities, however each has their own opinions.  back to point though MS never said they would support 3D Blu ray at launch.  Heck even the PS4 does not.

Just to clear the air here, Edragon is correct in saying that 3D launch was not advertised as supported at launch. We do, however, have plans to bring 3D functionality in the future. I don't have any details beyond that at this time, but it's not totally dead. =)

3D's not dead! but, each to their own. I love 3D stuff, if it's on at the cinema in 3D i'll watch it in 3D. The next big thing is surely VR. VR movies! imagine that!
