XBOX ONE instant on mode

when console is set to instant on mode it times out on loading any console app and game 

When the console is set to instant on, every now and again it will need to restart. If you have it set to instant on, and you see something weird going on, press and hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds to restart.

This will usually resolve 90% of the issues you experience.

have done that several times i have to set it to full boot up for it to work after that

Another thing- if you have it plugged into a power strip- those thing are notorious for causing issues with the XBOX ONE. Try having it plugged into a wall outlet instead.

I advise always plug direct into the main socket
