Xbox One Home Consoles

I have my account set on my friend's home console and I'm able to play his stuff no problem. Then I download my profile (not set as home, just downloaded it) on my brothers Xbox and now I can't download anything my friend has onto this one. Is it supposed to be this way?

Here is an example:

My friend owns the season pass to Destiny so we both can play the DLC, but then when I downloaded my profile onto my brothers console, it's asking me to buy the season pass rather than it saying "Download".

Yes, that is how it's supposed to work. You can only share content on the console that is set as the Home console. Since you don't actually own the content, it is not tied to your account. In order for you to use content on any consoles you want, you would have to purchase it on your account.
