Xbox One Day 1 update failure?

I got the XB1 up and running, and i got the wireless network in and I fully downloaded the Day One update. It restarted, like it should, then it simply sent me back to the update screen to download the update again.

I tried to download again, i get "The was a problem with the update" on my screen.

Network is not an issue whatsoever.

I already downloaded the update.

So, whats my next step? Anybody with the same issue with a resolution?

If anybody encountered this issue, fear not!

Simply be patient, and reboot your system like the website says (a few times like I had to). It communicated with the server and finally put me through to the startup stuff.

Just turn it off like normal or do the power cycle thing?

Thanks for the hasty response, btw!

Do the power cycling. I did so like 8 times, and gave up. I tried again a few minutes later and power cycled twice and it worked.

I guess it needed to talk to the MS servers to confirm it finishing? Im unsure.

But yeah power cycle and check your connection stuff, then do the "try again" option.

I finally got it working. I just had the power brick unplugged from the wall and the console for about 2 hours. Plugged it back in and it worked.
