XBOX ONE Broken after applying April 2015 Update... Microsoft wants ME to pay for it

Has anyone found a solution to this problem yet...?

On Saturday I bought Forza Horizon 2 and put my Xbox online for the first time in ages.

It prompted me to download the update. After doing so it stood stuck on the "applying update" screen for over an hour. So I went to work and left the system running. When I got home and turned it on, the system was stuck on the green loading screen.

Sunday morning I googled Everything in the world and figured out the steps for USB diagnosistic tool.

I tried them all perfectly and they all stopped on the same spot: the "Applying Update" screen.

So I decided to just factory reset the whole system. Guess what? That doesn't work either.

Called customer service and they told me it was faulty hardware. But its not. It was the update. 

On Friday night alone I played Devil May Cry and Mortal Kombat X all night perfectly.

On Saturday afternoon I played Forza for two whole hours with absolutely no problems until I tried to go online to buy a car pack and was prompted to update.

This is crap. With everything I've been reading online, it really does seem like Microsoft is extorting us.

And is anyone even monitoring these forums. It seems like they just press a button and give everyone the same response ( Mr. Quimby ) just like customer service reads off the script. Everytime i call, someone new tells me the EXACT same line: " I understand how you are feeling. I too feel frustrated when this happens. Lets see what we can do to help:... you know what would help? stop repeating the same lines. Let me speak to someone in charge who knows what they are talking about. Because as much as anyone wants me to believe that i broke my own Xbox One, i didn't. All i did was apply a mandatory update that i was forced to download. This isn't good business, and i wholeheartedly wish i would have purchased a Playstation 4 when i had the chance. 

Is there anyone real we can talk to?

Maybe a number we can call to talk to a real person?

xx Agentantz xx, what exactly happened when you tried the restore to factory defaults file on the USB? It worked for me and a couple of others in the forum.

There are warnings that updates may brick consoles, it's a risk we all take now by making threats likely wont help espeacially the BBB they deal with bigger buisness wrong doings than a console update gone wrong. The April update was tested exstensively before release. Sign up for a repair thru the link given above.

ultimately, I think it's gonna take a few calls to the Better Business Bureau before they decided to do something about this. It's not right that Microsoft pushes out an update that we're FORCED to install, that damages the product WE are paying for, and then THEY wanna charge US money to fix a problem that THEY created.

hey agentantz could I ask if you have checked your network(router) settings as most of the time this can be to blame, and seems like you have no problem offline

It is a good idea to bump everybody's threads to the front page as much as we can until they decide to do something about this.

This is going to happen to some percentage of users every single time they send out a console update.

HEY: FORUM MODERATORS - PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SUPERVISOR, AND MAYBE ASK THEM IF THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT REQUIRES THEM TO CONTACT THEIR SUPERVISOR

Same thing happened to me. The day Mortal Kombat X came out I had to do a mandatory update, i haven't played my Xbox one since X came out. It's pretty sad that Microsoft sends no friendly notice of their mishap. Almost a decade of being a gold member and I can't get an email when their *** is *** up?

Terrible the way us loyal customers have been treated after downloading a mandatory update that's bricked our consoles
