XBOX One Blu-ray drive issue

It appears that the Blu-ray drive in the XBOX One might have some issues, as I have seen this problem on all three XBOX One consoles in my house. The game will not launch (even after restarting the console) unless you eject the disc and reinsert it into the console. The drive is apparently not detecting that the game is there, or it is not spinning up when it is powered up... or it could be something else.

At any rate, I have to get up and walk across the room to fix the problem and I should never have to do that. The console should work properly without needing to have discs removed and reinserted. I have also had other friends with XBOX One consoles mention this same issue, so it is not isolated to the three that are in my house.

I cannot get the image of the problem to upload.  Please see the picture here: http://theterrorbeyond.com/?p=273

I seem to have resolved the issue be removing and reinstalling my profile.

  1. Go to the dashboard.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Sign-in, Security, & Passkey
  4. Select Remove me from this Xbox
  5. Restart the console
  6. Log in with your email and password

This will re-install your profile

I have tried multiple discs since doing this and the problem has not reoccured.
