Xbox one audio issue

basically My stereo does not support the optical audio that the ONE dishes out, it only has the standard RED/WHITE component connections.

I dont really want to be spending money on a new system because of one product, + ime happy with my current setup.

ive seen a few adapter/connectors that are supposed to convert the source, ime wondering if any members have ever a product of this type and any issues involved?!

thanks

For headsets.

I might suggest the following.  First consider hooking up audio to your TV, running optical from console to TV and headset wires to TV audio out. Secondly I would consider use of TB DSS optical to wired  surround sound simulator unit.  Friend and I are using each of these methods.

For stereos consider the DSS as an optical to analog converter and feed that output into an aux in channel on the stereo unit.
