xbox mid-life sign in crisis!!

I set up my xbox live account around 7 years ago.  The email associated with the account hasnt existed for roughly 5 years.  I have no idea what the password is since I set up the account 7 years ago and only entered it that one time, ever.  I have been in contact with xbox support 8-10 times in the last week trying to have them "verify" my identity with no success.  I am now on my 3rd xbox console in that 7 year period thanks to the "red ring of death" so my "trusted" console(the console I used to sign up for the account) is long gone.  The secret security question I apparently picked 7 years ago was my two best childhood friends.  That could be any one of 13-15 people.  I was 28 at the time I have no idea what I entered, names, nicknames, who knows?  XBL was so new at the time I didnt write any of this crap down and was probably intoxicated when I signed up.  I also have no credit card listed on the account because its a video game,  I would not put that type of info in there.  Long story short(too late), none of the proofs work for me and many of us in our mid 30's must be having similar issues.  What can I do?  Can the saved game data, DLC, and arcade games be transferred to a new account?  Is this 7 year investment lost forever?  Help?

Hey there Dust!

I'm sorry to hear about the issues getting into your account. At this point it looks like the best course of action would be to use the Contact Us page again to get in touch with an account specialist. Then, ask to be escalated to the Advocacy Team. They specialize in this type of thing and would be best suited to assist going forward.

Let us know how that goes and we'll be standing by to hear back from you! ^_^
