Xbox live

I can't sign in to xbox live since 700 pm. I erased my account and tried to add new. Instead I get "check your home network" message. I reseted my router and modem, still I get the same message.

There's a service alert at the moment. so you will have trouble signing in.It's just a case of being patient while it's fixed.

What I don't understand is how can I not connect my profile to xbox live but a few friends of mine are able to play still...? I know they're working to fix the issue but how is it that some can connect and others can't? Frustrated... i just... want... to play... TITANFALL :(
