xbox live

so recently my xbox told me that i dont have xbox live so i looked on the xbox website to see why and it was because it was trying to charge on my old credit card and so i went ahead and switched the card over to my current one and paid for it and now tells me that i have gold but when i go to my xbox and try to play multiplayer it tells me that i dont have gold. ive tried restarting my xbox and that didnt work. Any clues on what i should do?

It can sometimes take a few hours for your Gold membership to register with all servers. If you're still experiencing issues after this, I would take Derpy Hoove51's advice and contact support at support.xbox.com/contact-us, as they will have to get into your account and it is faster and easier to do over the phone or in a chat than in the forums.
