Xbox Live Signing In After Recover Gamertag

No Sure if this is the right thread, i looked through and couldn't see my problem.

I had to recover my gamertag, all my Achievements, my avator and everything are back but i can't connect to Xbox Live.

I've logged on to the xbox website and can see all my account details and everything but on my console it just shows the signing in screen and won't go any further,

Contacted Xbox support and waiting for a reply hoping someone here may have a fix.

Thanks.

Well the first part of your concern is that your ARE in the right place for this kind if of issue. The other thing is that you should fill out your network info from the start link here: forums.xbox.com/.../9.aspx

(Its the bolded information at the bottom of the link that acts as a fillable template)

After you confirm that your console is hooked up correctly, are you getting any error messages in particular from signing-in or running the "test connection" ?

The network test was fine.

After I sign in my profile and click on connect to Xbox live, it shows the signing in screen and continues to sign in but doesn't and won't go past that screen.

Thanks.

Hmm, it is strange. I might have to think on this one a little bit. But in the mean time, you can provide additional network info from the link: forums.xbox.com/.../9.aspx

Even though you said that your console CAN connect to the network is good news, its just establishing and holding that connection is the next problem. You can also try between wired or wireless, which shouldnt really make a difference. Or try to recover your gamertag again (after deleting the profile only from your storage unit) and sign in at a later time.
