the screen is telling me that the gamer profile doesnt have permission to playon xbox live

Sorry to hear you're having issues playing on Xbox Live.

Can you give us a little more detail on what exactly is happening?

  1. Is it this profile or a different one that gets that error message?
  2. Does this happen when you try to play a certain game?
  3. Are you able to connect to Xbox Live?



We're currently having a service outage which is causing some Comcast subscribers to have issues when trying to connect to Xbox Live, which may be the cause of your issue. You'll want to stay tuned to our Service Status page for updates on that.
