Xbox live problem


 I have had a problem ever since the new dash board was updated 3 weeks ago, I turn on my xbox i get signed into xbox live and i am signed in because i see what friends are online i can send messages but when i go to play muti-player online it makes me re-sign in then it says i lost my connection to xbox live, i called supports we tried every thing i had my cable company out my connection is great they replaced modem, ethernet cables everything, we tried did factory resets, we tried plugging xbox straight into modem still losing connection, the only thing xbox support said it could be a faulty hard drive. Has anyone ever heard of this? thanks
