xbox live payment problems.

I have made an xbox live account, but my problem is that it will not accept my debit card I know that I have sufficient funds in my account so I am not to sure whats wrong, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The Xbox LIVE purchase might have failed for the following reasons:

  • •The credit card has not been activated.
  • •The credit card was declined due to insufficient funds.
  • •The credit card cannot accept online purchases or automatic billing.
  • •The credit card company is intentionally preventing the card from being used.

Contact your credit card company or bank and make sure that the payment option that you’re using was activated, that it has available funds, and that the transaction is not being blocked for some reason.

Have you had another Xbox live account with this debit card? if so do you have an outstanding balance on the old account? If so then as long as you have the outstanding balance you cannot use this debit card you must ring Support to clear the balance and then you can ask them to reactivate the card again and it will work.
