Xbox live pass not appearing on account

I redeemed a XBOX live code and it doesn't appear on my account.

I received a e-mail that is almost ready but that was a week ago....

is this normal or is something wrong?

Seems a bit slack, given I have a new xbox one console and can't take advantage of the xbox live stuff straight away....
