When playing games like CoD, they might get booted for inactivity if the guest isn't playing. If only one wants to play, the guest should sign out to avoid any issues.

Having multiple profiles signed in to one console will do little in the way of affecting the remaining active player, things like latency won't be affected enough to be noticeable. However, if you are in a party it can affect some games and matchmaking when they disallow parties in some of their game modes.

I am not sure about this but from my own experiences i get booted after about a minute of inactivity, maybe the same is for the guest.
