Xbox Live not working for my account for days now

Okay, so for the past few days I have no longer been able to connect to Xbox Live to play games etc...
but my xbox IS connected to the internet and i know this because i can access the store when im not signed in. Is there some troubleshooting process i may have
 missed?

same here when trying to sign in for days......getting error code 0x80048050 and message saying that we could not sign you in. try again in a few minutes or check your account by signing in to account.live.com.....off which i can do.

Well I can sign in  but it wont load friend list or store or anything like that

Okay, have gotten hold of Customer Service and all i had to do was perform a hard reset. For others this is done by holding power button (Xbox One) for 10 seconds then removing the power brick for 20 seconds before turing the console back on
