xbox live issues

I have been with out internet access for awhile and have recently gotten it back. I hooked my xbox up, went thru all the updates, and I purchased a new membership. When i go to sign in it says that my Xbox live membership info isn't valid. I purchased the new membership today. Has it just not been activated yet or do I have other issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there UA! Sometimes this issue is caused by your downloaded profile becoming, for lack of a better word, stale. You can simply try downloading your profile again (forums.xbox.com/.../153143.aspx) to see if that helps your issue out at all. Let me know if that works, thanks!
